Architecture: an operator applies Harness, AgentTemplate and Agent resources. The kagent controller watches them, compiles each Agent, stores sessions and revisions in PostgreSQL, and routes calls from a UI, CLI or service to a sandboxed Actor on Agent Substrate. The Actor reaches the model and MCP tools through an egress gateway and sends OpenTelemetry traces to a backend.
