TimescaleDB flow in seven steps: rows are inserted into the newest chunk; the compression job runs; the chunk is converted to the columnstore; the refresh job runs; the continuous aggregate summarises the chunk; the retention job drops old chunks; and a dashboard query reads the continuous aggregate.
